We have more time to submit objections to the planning application. The date for the application to be considered has not been set but may be 11th March.  If you haven't already written please get busy.  We have added some more examples of letters - see downloads tab - to help you make planning related points.  Its important to personalise your letter with a few points. E.g. where you live and why this issue is important to you. You can email as well as send the letter by post. Both methods carry equal weight. Public vote no to Tesco plans in Messenger online poll
An online Messenger poll on Tesco’s plans for a massive new store in Stretford have shown an overwhelming number of people dissagree with the proposals. In total 680 people voted in the poll which asked whether they agree with the plans (19 per cent), dissagree with them (61 per cent), or agree that development would benefit the area (20 per cent). The vote ran on the Messenger website for eight days.
